Most musical people get their first contact with music when they are very young. Same thing applies to Il Doctore, and the first medium which transferred music to his ears, was simply the radio. Passing his youth by just listening and discovering music, the level up in his life came around the age of 11, when he was still living in Greece. The concept of mixing music, which we all know as being a DJ, intruded his life. In that era of time, using turntables would be the most logical choice to become a DJ, but for him that wasn't the case: he mixed by the way of old tapedecks, mixing hiphop and pop music and even though that's not as versatile as turntables, it still was enough to get him started. His love for music got aroused, and evolution would be the direct consequence of it.

When he was 13 years this evolution got a new milestone: the discovery of electronic music. In that time, trance had it's golden era that delivered alot of classics. In terms of feelings this was the music that got many ravers going, with a uplifting, sometimes pretty psychedelic sound, all attributes that can be given to psychedelic trance. Big climaxes, melodies that kept playing in your head for ages, ... these were only a few of the elements that made Il Doctore decide to dig deeper into electronic music. As a result of this, he extended his fascination into becoming a DJ, which got him different spots on a number of psychedelic events. In 2004 he moved to Belgium, where electronic music already was a big part of national culture. The Belgian nightlife was filled with lots of excellent clubs, such as Silo, Café d'Anvers, Fuse and many others, which became his inspiration for the next level. In other words: tech house and minimal were the new epiphany for Il Doctore, starting from 2009. But ofcourse this is not his only inspiration, artists such as Jean-Michel Jarré, Green Velvet, Richie Hawtin, Astral Projection, Joris Voorn and many others became big influences for his forthcoming career as a performer.

With many years of experience, it's not quite predictable what you will get if he plays. Sensing the vibe and the reaction of the people that are dancing, and responding in an appropiate way are merely just properties to him, and these properties just make him a genuine DJ. The next phase would be getting into the business of producing music. However, no one can predict the future, and when Il Doctore is ready to release his work on the world, you just need to keep your ears open, and you'll see. But for now he'll be your therapist, healing you with music
