Heikki Rasilo is a singer-songwriter, born in a small town in Finland. Living in Belgium since 2012, he and his band have performed original music in and around Brussels, refining their skills, songs, and performances to the tight level you see today. Heikki’s pictorial songs vary from wildly imaginary (Bird of Death) and epic storytelling (Circus Song) to intimate stories about himself or other real characters (Back into the sea, Craftsman’s Ballad). His music, varying from folk ballads to energetic bluesy/rocky pieces, is driven by haunting vocal melodies, and smooth but unpredictable chord progressions. He plays solo or with his band including Andy Deavin (Bass), Pierre Schifflers (Drums), Leo Luy (Guitar) and Johan Loeckx (Keyboards).
