VI.BE

GIZMO is a band of young talented Belgian musicians. The core quartet exists of Anneleen Boehme on bass, Geert Hendrickx on guitar, Cho Rong Kim on piano and Simon Raman on drums. They started off in collaboration with the great American saxophone player Chris Cheek, with whom they played at Jazz Middelheim 2015. Now they are featuring saxophone player Ben Sluijs, who has an important voice in the Belgian jazz scene. GIZMO's repertoire exists out of original compositions by the band members, in which there is plenty of space for improvisation and exploration.
