Förbittring exists of five very experienced musicians who have deep roots in the Belgian punk, hardcore and metal scene. The band was conceived during the covid pandemic by most of the musicians that made up hardcore punk band Generation 84. Being in lockdown with no musical outlet and the urge to try something new led to a spike in creativity and song snippets were bounced back and forth by guitar player Wesley Vanmal, singer Teun Van Aerschot and producer Bob Demarsin. Within a year, there was a framework for what was to become the band's debut album and recordings started for the self-titled album.

In December of 2022, the album will be released by Genet Records and it will contain 10 punk metal songs where the band revisits aspects of a lot of the bands they played in in the past, like Panchrysia, Victims of Society, Break of Day and Generation 84, yet blending it into a unique personal sound with influences ranging from Satyricon to Tragedy and Rise & Fall. From 2023 onwards, Förbittring hopes to play as many live shows as possible, so don't hesitate to invite them to your stage.
