Fleur Khani embraces her Iranian cultural heritage and celebrates multi-cultural identities. Khani incorporates elements of spirituality and mysticism in her music, drawing on a range of religious and philosophical traditions. Her music can be seen as a form of resistance against cultural narratives and a celebration of alternatives ways of being. With Sim Sala Bim, Fleur Khani presents a debut album that transcends the form of a classical concert or narrative. She starts from a place of storytelling from her diasporic experience, interweaving sotries over revolution, loss, hope, love and rage. Khani builds an intimate, raw and carried musical universe.
