Flavio Rio is a Belgian-Italian singer-songwriter whose music bridges indie pop and jazz-infused textures. Born amidst the sun-lit streets in Rome and shaped by the pulsing energy of Berlin and Brussels, his artistic voice reflects a life lived between cultures. Influenced by the contemporary UK soulful scene — in the vein of Jordan Rakei, Martin Luke Brown, and Tom Misch — Flavio crafts intimate, emotionally resonant songs that openly explore authenticity, identity, and the desire to belong.

His musical foundation lies in jazz — a world of improvisation and cultural dialogue that continues to influence his songwriting approach. While featuring as a vocalist on records (Stace, Oriana Ikomo, Margaux Vranken) and performing live with projects such as Songs Between Two Lands and Nascente, he shaped a space where the many facets of a young artist could coexist and evolve into his own songs.

In 2023, he launched his solo project with the EP False Lights, centered on self-affirmation, growth, and confronting inner conflicts. Selected as a 2025 BXBOOST laureate (Growfunding / VOLTA / Ancienne Belgique), Flavio is currently preparing his debut album The Edge, co-produced with Helicopter Studio and featuring prominent Brussels-based musicians. The album, which explore the notion of belonging, reflects a decade spent living between two countries and establishes Flavio Rio as a compelling new voice in Europe’s genre-blending pop landscape.
