Video "Fill up my soul":

This dreamy melody with cheerfull chorus came up spontaneously today, reading the lyrics I wrote last month... Playing the guitar hurt a bit, as I'd just been working in my garden with a blister on my thumb :-(, but the music made me forget the pain!!!

Good memories of the first time I sang a blues song... I was proud and happy. I never let go of the blues' spirit since! Goddamn right, I got the blues!

To me, this was the start of a new musical chapter in my life. eWe's music would not be there if I had not sang this song at that time! I never thought I could sing a blues song, period. Singing a blues song is not JUST singing a song: it is getting into the lyrics, pulling the emotions behind the lyrics into your mind and soul, and singing all those emotions out (loud)! In every song I created for eWe's music, that thought was always in my mind...

"Complicated":

My guitar, my flute, my voice, my inspiration,... even 'complicated (content, lyrics)' :-) songs can come out of my living room studio. I have challenged myself in playing fingerpicking chords instead of strumming. Not too bad for a first song like this... I believe.

I heard on BBC News that scientists have demonstrated a new method for counting whales from space. It sounded surreal in this world, where whales are being found with plastic in their stomach and the neoliberal theory our economy is based upon, seem not to work anymore. Inspiration for this new song... “Counting Whales”.

Sometimes someone can look at you in an angry way, but you don't know why... and you'll never know, because you never see that person again, and you keep wondering why... The song "Angry Eyes" was recorded in only 1 hour, fastest time for an eWe's music song. Flute, guitar and voice by myself.

Left and right are 2 words that keep being a topic, everywhere. But when you look at your body to left and right, they seem to be in harmony... or not?

In the song "Just a Nose", you hear my voice, my guitar and a kazoo :-).

I have a new musical companion! Mister Blackbird is very keen on singing along... He gives daily 'rooftop' concerts - like the big stars (!) - at my home address, live and solo at 6 o'clock in the morning! He's helped me write my new song "My Garden Tree"!

Female artists like Etta James, Ruth Brown, Big Mama Thornton, Beth Hart, Bonnie Raitt, Ruthie Foster, JJ Thames, but also Roland Van Campenhout, Robert Plant, Guy King, Guy Verlinde have been my muses.

I used to sing in a few bands but have concentrated on creation of new songs… and I like that, although I do miss the stage vibes…

Musical experience in many ways since my childhood have driven me to the music I make today.

The lyrics are important to me, to export a story or feeling.

I have never performed these songs on stage, I do not have a band and do everything on my own.
