Formed by five childhood friends, the band quickly forged a no-compromise identity rooted in DIY ethos and shaped by influences such as Viagra Boys, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and The Hives. Visceral and unpredictable, Empty Head’s sound is a full-blown invitation to let go.

After two EPs—2021’s self-titled debut and 2023’s Tales of a Modern Man—the band established a tense, deeply embodied universe. Whether on stage or in the studio, Empty Head embraces a hard-hitting approach where immediate impact meets dark humor.

Now, the five-piece takes it to the next level with Freak Show, their debut album releasing May 29, 2026. Conceived as a warped reflection of modern society, the record introduces a gallery of familiar characters—from the “company shark” to the digital predator—diving into the excesses of a world losing its bearings. Driven by danceable grooves and nervous guitars, Freak Show bridges the gap between post-punk and garage rock. It is both exhilarating and disillusioned: an electrifying playground for contemporary unease.
