Eleven Woods came to life in 2019, when vocalist Emily Vingerhoed joined forces with pianist and guitarist Arne Bauwens and guitarist Koen Van den Zegel. Together, they create serene indie folk with a touch of melancholy. The band’s sound is characterized by minimalistic guitar and piano riffs that provide the perfect backdrop for Emily’s hauntingly beautiful vocals. Her voice carries the emotional depth of their music, resonating deeply with listeners. This introspective and emotionally charged style places Eleven Woods alongside a new generation of indie pop artists like Phoebe Bridgers, London Grammar, and Lizzy McAlpine.

In 2022, the band welcomed a new member, drummer David Van den Bosch, whose rhythmic touch has added a new depth to their sound. At 31 years old, David brings both experience and fresh energy to the group. The following year, Eleven Woods recorded four songs in the Great Oak Studio (Rotselaar) as they continue to work toward their first EP. The project is still in progress, but the band is excited to share these new tracks with their growing audience.

June 2024 marked another exciting development as the band welcomed Michaël Claessens, their new bassist, into the fold. With Michaël on board, Eleven Woods is ready to take their sound to new heights. The band is eager to reveal more music and is committed to playing as much as possible, aiming to develop themselves into a solid band with a profound message.
