Bassick started as a crazy idea, during a regular college school day in a small pub in Ghent, in early 2013. After a lot of practicing, our mentor Semper Fi asked 2 hours in advance if we wanted to play a small gig at a local party. We rushed to our DJ gear to quickly prepare our set (yes, the good old days as starting DJ’s when we still had to prepare our sets) and since that day we’ve never slowed down nor looked back.

Throughout our musical rush, we've played sets at Run The Trap (NL), 12-urenloop Ghent, Beveren Festivalt, 100 Dagen Sint Niklaas, HIPHOPSTAD and 100+ other parties. We can now say we have gained quite the experience to handle practically every situation.

During our first year and a half moving between genres, we’ve decided that we shouldn’t be restricted by any of those artificial boundaries, called genres. We’ll simply play every style we appreciate, although we will always have a preference for our first love, hip hop and trap (including future bass, jersey club, twerk,….).

So expect a DJ set perfectly adjusted to the place, time and people (although we won’t play the ‘usual top 40 playlist’). Going from a public that glides to our smooth vibes to a raging crowd being killed by brutal beats.
