DIONA FOX is a powerful vocalist with her heart on her sleeve: promintently present, witty and refreshingly engaging. Her love for jazz, (neo)soul and popmusic is drenched over her lyrics and sound, with a little edge (that also characterizes her deep, somewhat raw voice). She gets compared to Amy Winehouse (a lot) and is inspired by Carmen McRae, Esther Phillips and Nina Simone, and nowadays artists as Madeleine Peyroux, The Wood Brothers & Zaz.

Her Ragdolls consist of guitar virtuoso ROY DE RIJKE, with his omni-present roots in Gypsy Jazz. But his gift is the way he brings Gypsy into every possible music genre, thus giving the compositions a unique and infectious fingerprint.

REMUS AUSSEN, sometimes adds his sweet counter-melodic double bass parts, but mostly he’s up front on bass guitar, funk-duelling with Diona, Roy & Lodewijk.... There’s a lot of bass-history in his backpack, and that’s what he uses to create his special & fresh bass-ingredient for the songs.

LODEWIJK BLES comes from a classical background but has a naughty twist when it comes with coloring between the lines. He has the unique quality to blend genres and forms a solid base to arrangements and details to refine the Diona Fox’ repertoire.
