PSYCH GARAGEROCK

Catchy guitar riffs, loud amps, dreamy vocals and a rhythm section, tight as butt cheeks. Desmond Dandies feel most comfortable in a dirty garage under a dusty blanket, drenched in sweat and beer. However, that doesn’t mean they don’t like taking risks. During a set, they loosen the thread of typical garage rock and they playfully keep pushing the boundaries, exploring their ultimate highs and lows, balancing between being crushed by a steamroller and the climax of a psychedelic trip.

After a fruitful summer where they finished recording their debut album, they are ready to try out the new songs in the clubs, before releasing the LP out in the open, in April 2023.

DANSENDE BEREN - FINALE SOUNDTRACK 2022:

Het publiek dacht misschien effectief dat Hasselt niet bestond, want ondanks dat de finale uitverkocht was, trapte Desmond Dandies de finale op gang voor slechts een handjevol mensen. Zoals weliswaar vaker het geval is, hadden de afwezigen ongelijk. Het viertal uit Halen liet er namelijk geen gras over groeien en veegde een twintigtal minuten lang de vloer aan met de Muziekodroom. BROTHERS IN RAW:

(...) Groovy rock 'n roll, daar had ik mij op voorbereid. Jongens, die Desmond Dandies wisten wat ze deden. Americana tot en met, die goeie old school rock waar menig boomer van houdt. Denk aan invloeden van The Who en ook die zalige sound van The Brian Jonestown Massacre vond ik terug. Dus zet die drie gasten maar in hetzelfde rijtje.
