Why, hello there! I'm Dave. And I'm a bassist. So my life is Fabulous and Funky!

Anyhoo, I wield the noble lowstring without mercy, so prepare to be moderately Funked!

I really, really like to perform! I've been very lucky to perform at venues like Gentse Feesten 2018 and Ancienne Belgique. And I hope to revisit these venues, and plenty others, in the near future. I like music with a somewhat unique sound to it, has a slight edge and makes you want to Shake That Bootay! That means it motivates you to make movements suitable to the music at hand. However, I don't shy away from the occasion intimate piece of music. Sometimes you gotta dance to the groove, sometimes you just have to listen.

I'm not a songwriter. At all. I'm strictly a bassist. I can "enrich" music with some low frequencies, and come up with some nice basslines , but I don't write whole song. There are other, much more talented people for that. I just lay down a groove to piece of music, or find a riff that can be the basis for a song, but I don't have the framework for a complete song in mind. I like to be a part of a band, where we can make and discuss our music together, experiment and jam, where each component of the band is responsible for it's part.
