mr Diagonal aka Dan Barbenel is a multi-faceted pianist/guitarist / singer-songwriter at the frontiers of pop, cabaret and theatre music.

Variously compared to 'Noel Coward on mushrooms', Kurt Weil and Divine Comedy, he has a loyal following in Japan (6 national tours and 2 full-length rockumentaries on Japanese TV), has featured on BBC radio 3's Late Junction and represented Belgium in the Guardian's Sound of Europe series.
