CONTRADISANTI hails from Ghent, Belgium and produces uncompromising loud and heavily distorted punkmusic with a blackened crust to be played alongside a monumental bonfire while roasting your boss on a stick the size of an oak.

The trio recorded the demo-tape “No Killers, Just Fillers” (2018) with the infamous Italian jazzdrummer Giovanni Barcella (BackBack) on an 8-track Tascam. No overdubs, computer or genre police signed present for this record. Nothing less than 150 copies were made of it, each one provided with 7 hitsingles filled with both fast and slow heaviness, harsh repetitiveness, downtuned rock’ n roll and grim guitarsolo’s scaring the hell out of punkrock hipster satanists. Nihilistic d-beatism for the win.

CONTRADISANTI listens to Melvins, Discharge, Godflesh, Kreator, Sonny Sharrock, Mayhem and Deaf Kids. The bandmembers clearly had their share already as the confronting lyrics deal with the very rough side of life: breaking a foot and being a little bit too high on painkillers (Broken Couch Foot), getting kicked out of the rehearsal space by a fancy pantsie hippie girl who wants to grow paddo’s in there (Champion Queen) or the fearful treat of an empty fridge after a late night shift (Willy’s nightmare). La Blessure deals with the loss of a real great friend of the bandmembers who choose to speed off to the afterlife in the doomed year of 2013. CONTRADISANTI keeps his legacy alive with unfiltered stubbornness.

Displaying both such musically and lyrical intelligence and refinement, it is clear this band awaits a bright future. If not this anti-trio won’t be bothered anyways.
