Bio

Cliff Beeckman is a Belgian singer-songwriter (piano, vocals…). He was born on the 8th of March 1985 in Ghent (Belgium).

At the age of 12 Cliff already dreamed of making his own music, and recorded his very first song on a simple cassette tape player. However, it was only during his university studies (Cliff holds a master in computer science and philosophy) that he learned to play the piano and started making his own music.

His debut single Second Life and an instrumental bonus track Autumn Tears, both mixed and produced by Reinhard Vanbergen, were released on the 21st of November 2019 on all major online platforms (Spotify, iTunes/Apple Music, Deezer, Google Play, YouTube...).

"You have to listen several times to do justice to the musical evolution of CLIFF's music, which we did with great pleasure!" (Review by Luminous Dash - a Belgian online music magazine). You can read the full review on their website (in Dutch).

Autumn Tears has recently been selected as a semifinal in the 2020 International Songwriting Competition in the category "instrumental".

As a musician Cliff Beeckman is highly influenced by artist like Coldplay, Radiohead, Ólafur Arnalds, Sigur Ròs, Keane, Sleeping At Last, Jasper Steverlinck and many others. It should therefore not come as a surprise that melancholy forms the leitmotiv throughout most of his songs.
