We would love to be part of your Live Music Programme! We are CharmJar, a Bruxelles based music collective, residing in Laeken. We have been busy playing live shows recently with the likes of Alek et les Japonaises, Kuma and recently in Amsterdam supporting Grammy nominee Scott Mickelson.

About us:

Thumbelina Jim, (Dutch guitarist and vocalist) met Pearl, (English bassist and vocalist) when she launched herself through his ground floor window, during a live-lounge concert he was giving from his apartment in Bruxelles. Jim pursued her proclamation of musical desire with the tenacity of a dude with Jazz in his veins. The fuse was lit and CharmJar was created- the bastard child of a Zappa-esque freak and a B-52’s oddball.

A concoction of Rock n Roll, Jazz, Reggae, Punk and Vintage Pop has become the calling card characteristics of CharmJar’s original songs. Infused with the percussive backbone of Dimitri and Eric the Dentist on drums, Valentijn’s cool dexterity on keys and Moses, with his congas and toolkit of rhythmical surprises, you need to witness the psychedelic theatrics to believe it.
