Hello we’re Cashing Out…

Three school buddies who share the same love and passion for music, and that is American Country, Roots and Rockabilly music. For many years the music kept us together.

Our biggest influence was,and still is, the one and only Johnny Cash “ The Man in Black”.

The band was founded in 2015 by Ayrton Kennes (Vocal, acoustic rhythm guitar) and Willem Decuyper (Electric lead guitar). From the early beginning the two started writing lyrics and composing music. But soon they decided they needed a bass player so after only a few months Arno Jacobs joined the band, and the line up was complete!

Many thought it was a strange idea, a band without drums. The reason behind this is first of all we couldn’t find anyone, but the second reason was so did Johnny Cash. In the early 1950’s Johnnys band didn’t have a drummer, so we did the same and we still do. This gives us the opportunity to play live shows in the smallest local bars as on bigger stages like open air festivals.

Cashing out played its first live show in early 2016. Ever since then they played shows all over the country. From Oostende all the way down to Gouvy.

In December 2018 the boys got into the recording studio and recorded their first EP "The Original Cashing Out".
