Lex & Bart first met in the fall of 2011. Lex brought some songs, a guitar and an amp to an office complex in the Port of Amsterdam. Together they managed to make things spicy and interesting.

In a very short period of time a couple of dozen songs were written. Decided to be a band BSMNT moved from the office meeting room to the basement in Bart's apartement in Amsterdam Oud Zuid. The basement got sound proofed, a lot of equipment stacked up in no time and thus came a very varied sound. Lex and Bart both like a wide range of music and that shows in the variance in their songs. They started playing at events such as Queens/Kings night, and Queens/Kings day, Free Fringe Festival, and a couple of very fun performances at Astaro Theatro. Only to move to other venues in Amsterdam soon after.

In 2016 John Doorn (together with Bart an ex Star Atlas member) joined the band. John adds a powerful drum sound to the BSMNT songs and in 2017 and 2018 BSMNT started to create new songs as a three piece band.

In 2018 Alexandre Seccanechia replaced John as the new drummer, bringing a brasilian touch to the rhythm section.

Nowadays 1/3 of BSMNT is living in Ghent, Belgium. The Belgian connection got BSMNT gigs at the opening of the 'New Brusselse Steenweg' in Ghent, and various appearances at bloc parties.

BSMNT now rehearses in Waalwijk, The Netherlands and plays shows in Belgium and Holland.
