Bio

A real all-rounder, Bros Bros is a name about to twinkle bright in the music galaxy. With a background in entertainment, he gained experience during live performances as a support act with N8N & The Bobby James Family for Simply Red, Seal, Kool & The Gang, Pointer Sisters and many more, in Belgium and beyond. That love for groove appeared like a shooting star thanks to a hi-fi stereo and the first album of his collection: Michael Jackson’s BAD. Overwhelmed by the energy of the music, Bros Bros found himself being captivated by a low, quiet strength that became clearer once Billie Jean touched ground: it had always been about that bass.

Self-taught, he spent most of his younger years studying music and developing his ear and riffs. As his passion grew, so did his interest in the bigger picture: he didn’t solely want to be a part of the song but to overview it in order to surround it with a halo of emotions. Placing his instrument at the center of his universe, the musician started crafting a constellation of songs, all stamped with a signature bouncy bassline in November 2018. “The drums give you that movement that makes you shake your head up and down... but the bass is what makes your body rock from left to right and I love it!” he analyses. Blending Future Beats with the classic Hip-Hop, R&B, Funk & Soul he used to listen to on his old school Sony Walkman, Bros Bros guarantees a smooth, creamy urban sound. His mission: to make everyone vibe on the same positive wavelength, whether it be at home or on the dancefloor. “I want to make people smile, move them with words and sounds but also try to keep them going. I want to take them on a journey which will be complete when people will relate to and associate my music with certain times and places they’ve been”, he insists.

Launched in the beginning of 2019, his brand new musical spaceship allowed him to discover the fascinating planets of rappers Darrell Cole and Fred Gata, that he invited on his singles Melodie and For My Money, as well as the exciting newcomer Jon the Gold who can be heard on No More or Oforios, the velvety vocals behind Red Light. During the process, Bros Bros’ strange UFO started to get noticed from various telescopes, and other artists were soon sharing their own desire to climb on board. That is the case of David Jahmill for instance, who breathed a new life into what was, earlier this year, just an instrumental B-Side accompanying his debut single. This new version of Champion will land on October 17, 2019. The date will mark the release of Bros Bros’ first EP, The Journey, balancing vocal tracks with special guests and instrumentals. “This project is my first very own journey. It’s a path I’m exploring, reflecting on new and old aspects of my life. These past couple of years, I went through a break-up and a few ups and downs in my professional life. The Journey is for me some sort of ‘reset’. It’s a clean sheet, a new chapter — a way to remind everyone that there’s always sunshine after the rain”, he reveals.
