In 2010, created by a mutual advertisement, Mario Jossels and Jo Vossen felt they should try some creative things together. They contacted Maurice Vandepas as a drummer and Luc Boonen, who knew how to treat a harp ... they started rehearsels and Bourbon Street was born! After a year of brainstorming and shearing thoughts they did a try-out and with great success! After that they shared stages with Ian Siegal, Ana Popovic, Scott McKeon ... many venues still to follow! Gigs at Hookrock, Binkom Blues, Oetsloven Blues, September Blues and others were their reward. Bourbon Street graced the stage and let their mark everywhere they played! Since September 2014, due to family circumstances, Maurice left the band and has been replaced by Wilfried Claesen. They experienced a true 'boom' in 2015 thanks to great performances at 't Poorthuis Peer, at Irish pub de Egel during Hasselt Live festival, Klakson Blues near Brussels and highlighted the year with a blistering performance at St-Baafs square at 'De Gentse Feesten'! They also joined a very nice line up at the very first 'Limburgs Roots festival' .

Abroad, in Holland, they played several gigs at Zilst Blues, Welons Blues, Heerlen Jazzt and the Beegter Blues festival near Grevenbicht.

In 2016. they started their year with a tremendous gig at the 'Muziek-O-Droom' near Hasselt for the Move2Blues organization.

Meanwhile, they worked also on new songs and performed the new stuff at the Hookrock festival 2016 for the first time, amongst previous material.

In 2017 they did a minitour at mainly the south of Holland at various venues like Venblues, Dofferblues, Helmond Bluesroute and lots of pubs in the area. In between they played at the Kidsfestival in Ham Belgium. What an experience it was, joining and winning the B.R.U.L contest at 'De Oefenbunker' at Heerlen.

2018 started off with gigs in Asten, Echt and Maastricht and they will open the Southern Blues Festival as winners from the BRUL contest in Heerlen.

After a split in 2019 they re-started in 2021 with a fresh guitarslinger, Andy Aerts. They confirmed their great live reputation in 2022 at Oetsloven, Bagafest and Sunday evening blues at the Muze café in Heusden Zolder. New bookings following for 2023, are you the next?
