Benepact was formed in 2018 when vocalist Julien Nogarede and musician/producer Giel Borsboom decided to team up. Benepact stands for the collaboration between the two, emphasizing the fact that Julien lives in Brussel, Belgium and Giel in Leiden, Netherlands. Their eclectic mix of House, Indie Dance and a touch of Techno proves to be very danceable and groovy. Julien and Giel have played together in the band "Chicks on Toast" (Leiden, 2010-2013) where Julien played the drums and Giel played the guitar. Julien, already developing his unique vocal sound, impressed many listeners and critics with his reach in tone. During some years in Sweden and Belgium, Julien learned to play the guitar, providing him with sufficient technique to support him in the development of his voice. In the meantime, Giel Borsboom started producing music in his room and collaborated with Kenneth van den Bos forming the group "ScooterRoy and the Hitmachine". Although their music was received positively by many, Giel was still left with so many idea's for new tracks, mainly in the Dance/Nu Disco Genre. Now, 8 years later, the collaboration between Julien and Giel got officially public with the release of their 1st Single" Let Me Be".
