After years of honing their chops in bands like The Wolf Banes, Red Zebra, Irish Coffee, Betty Goes Green and GumboGumbo, to name but a few, the start of Belgo-Dutch Bellemont was marked by a different approach than the one they were used to. Leaving their collective comfort zones behind, the band has always aimed for a less-is-more/more-is-more sound, cutting and slicing until only the essence remains.

Blending their personal styles, tastes and musical pasts, Bellemont end up with a sound influenced by a wide range of sources: distilled soul, compacted blues, filtered torch, moody psych, cinematic music – the song will dictate the road taken. Consequently, anything – from the most delicate whisper to a thundering behemoth of sound – is possible.

Bellemont will probably not make you whoop and holler like demented rave crowds, but they might very well make a much-needed puncture in your soul.
