BastaPura is the musical project of Claude Jacobs. Sofar it's a one man show, but would be more than happy to find some soulmates and to expand. “Basta” stands for “enough” and “Pura” for pure . For me this means an escape from my professional life as project manager and creating something from my soul translated in music without any boundaries nor restrictions. In that respect it will be difficult to link BastaPura with one genre. One day it will be pop, rock and the other day it might be classical, soundtracks, EDM, dance with or without lyrics. Most of the songs composed so far can be played and will be released as well in different versions. Depending on the style; you will go on a melodic often melancholic journey in which the drums and percussions might bring you in a trance, will give you energy or a dynamic vibe. Meanwhile it could be worth to discover as well the story behind the lyrics.

The song "Fabric of my mind" is going about the disease "Alzheimer/Dementia". Nowadays people are only talking about "Corona" . But do you know that each 4 seconds, somebody on this globe is diagnosed with the disease "Alzheimer or Dementia". According the “WHO” it should become priority number 1 to find a treatment for this disease. There's a good chance within a couple of years 1 on 5 persons will get this disease. The lyrics of "Fabric of my mind" are based on how I saw my favorite aunt fading away ; attacked by Alzheimer over a period of 20 years. This song is written for all the people suffering from Alzheimer or Dementia and even more to support all their relatives, friends and volunteers taking care for them. For this reason I worked out a light classical / unplugged version which I believe is quiet accessible for everyone.
