Baduwenna
From Europe’s Bronze Age shadows comes Baduwenna. Epic doom-metal, untamed & resolute. No posercircus. Only mystic echoes of forgotten ancestral lore.
Bio
From the murky depths of the cultural wasteland that Brussels had become by the end of the pandemic, emerged the bicephalic Baduwenna - a deafening beast of thundering epic-doom metal hymns, cloaked in the shadows and mysteries of Europe's Bronze Age past.
From the very first frequencies that hit the ear, F. Battorix (Drums, Vocals) and V. Barritus (Bass) are immersing the listener in a sonic saga reviving tales of wisdom almost lost to time. Their music is an undeniable ode to our true metal forefathers, but daringly picks up the threads to delve further into uncharted territory.
Their debut opus, The Return of the Retrodox, is a spiritual journey, at first submerging us into a nostalgic cloud of doomish dirges, at other times hovering near the eldritch forces that course through the veins of extremer metal aficionados.
The epic choruses not only carry us through Europe’s vast landscapes and mysterious landmarks, but also beckon us to ponder the arcane significance of our present existence.
Witnessing the many grotesque historical appropriations and childish reenactments on the rise, Baduwenna resolutely decide to turn their heads away from the cheap and wimpish posercircus displayed on new media, rather exploring paths of deeper philosophical questions revealed to us by the lesser known sides of our distant history.
Don't just expect a metal act; Baduwenna is a time-capsule of harmonic mysticism, a stampede reminding us of the fragmented lore and cults of our ancestors.
