AVILA Belgian born Avila (Jonas Van Looveren) started playing music at the age of 15. Using Virtual DJ in combination with an Hercules MK console, he started to develop his own style. Firstly playing mainly Jump- & tekstyle, he discovered House / Electro & Club music at the age of 17. Not long after he knew this was the music he loves to listen to. Avila bought his first real cd mixing set, consisting of 2 Denon DNS1000's, he started practicing beatmatching & mixing records flawlessly. After several years of trying he gave his carreer a new boost & became resident in a local pub in his hometown, he played there each week for 1.5 years, nowadays he still does that, but not every week anymore. At the age of 21 he became resident of an organization named 'Promis', this was a montly concept in the North of Antwerp. After 1.5 years, the concept was more popular then ever, so the organization decided to make it a every-2-weeks concept. Avila only missed 1 edition so far! Furthermore Avila was a guest on several other locations, such like Noxx (Aura Room), Missing Link, and several private venues. Avila also makes podcasts, which are free for download (follow him on facebook to keep up-2-date). The next step is experimenting with making music & boost his carreer even more. The future is looking bright!
