Bio
Ave Døren is the name of an uninhabited Island and former danish-belgian company specialised in musical consumer electronics (est. in 1989). It was the Danish-Belgian response to Roland and Yamaha. The two governments invested millions into this company that was supposed to give birth to the most forward-thinking music equipment in the world and bring a revolution in music production. They hired top computer-scientists, the most gifted musicians and electrical engineers to work on a secret research center on the island. It was as autonomous as possible, relying solely on locally grown vegetables for food and using energy from solar panels removed from thrown away calculators. Their goal was to deliver an intelligent helping device to compose music, a forerunner of AI music. A diplomatic incident forced the governments to dissolve the company. The research center, however, remained intact and the system was left to decay as it was too expensive to dismantle. When Murley and Slizewicz entered the center several decades later, they heard strange, but beautiful sounds. They discovered different rooms and realised that the local fauna, flora and fungi had merged with the artificial environment and created a symbiotic structure with the electronic systems. The result was a holobiont orchestra, producing never heard before sounds. The pair promised to go back with recording equipment, but they could not find it.
