ArtFx began in 2016, when drummer Ivo Cardon and bassist Tom Trancez teamed up with guitarist Dempsey Derous . Their chemistry sparked the creation of the debut album Turning Point, later enriched by the arrival of vocalist Elke Vanhoutte, whose dynamic female presence helped shape the band’s identity. The first album was released in 2021.

After Dempsey’s departure, guitarist Hannes Ryheul joined and quickly became a perfect fit. More recently, bassist Didier stepped in to restore ArtFx’s full power.

ArtFx brings a unique blend of gentle female vocals, visceral grunts, and technically driven drum and guitar work, infused with progressive and djent influences—resulting in a modern, energetic, and innovative sound.
