The Apparition Duo was formed by Aphrodíte Patoulídou (singer) and Rémy Dechambre (pianist) in February 2015. The starting point of their collaboration was in the class of "Lied Interpretation" given by Inge Spinette at Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels in February 2015. From the very beginning they realised that they had a common love for this répertoire, and therefore they decided to share it with the public. After performing a number of art song and aria recitals, they entered the Udo Reinemann Masterclass.

Currently, Aphrodite is in La Monnaie's MM Academy while finishing her Master in Voice with Pr.Dinah Bryant in KCB as a voice scholar of Alexander S. Onassis Foundation.

Rémy is dividing his time between Brussels (Concert Musicus in Chamber Music), Namur (AESS diploma) and Verviers, where he teaches in the Conservatoire.
