Bio

We are “ANK”, a new Band from Belgium. Previously know as "Aïssata & Kay" we have now raised the bar, aiming for larger gigs and cultural establishments. We still perform unplugged as a trio but our main objective is performing all out with our full band. Our own songs are influenced by several types of music but remain easy-listening music with catchy melodies and recognizable lyrics. Our set also includes our own versions of some well known and lesser known covers.

Aissata Djiby, our vocalist, sings from the heart and soul and can catch the attention of any listener/viewer.

Erik Selis (Kay) is an experienced guitarist/songwriter adding complementary backing vocals to Aissata’s amazing voice while playing guitar.

Jesse Baart is our bass man

Louis Van der Linden grooves on the drums

Andreas Smet also plays guitars

Together, the make for a wonderful team, be it in writing music, recording or performing.

Our new single "Maquerade Ball" has now officially been released and is available on Sportify, iTunes and Apple Music. The first of several before the album release sometime in 2018.
