'Born in Brussels on the 2nd of December, Alexandre Désire Mestag better known as ADEL was meant to excel as a musician. With a Congolese mother who sang in choirs, listened to Bob Marley and still has a ringtone of 2Pac and a Belgian father who loved to get his Barry White on, young Alex fell in love with music right away.

He first started rapping with his close friend Julien Peeters and formed the duo ADEL & JPJ. By adding Sjoerd Guns to the group later on, they decided to go by the name 'The Dopeness'. After a year or two of good music and a decent buzz, Alexandre took another route and joined the DreamTeamCollective. This is where the rapper developped his rapskills to the fullest which resulted to the group's first online hit 'I Don't Like (Remix)' with +10 000 views to date. This also marked the start of a special bond between him and his now-main producer Kai Wén. He even graced the studio of JIMtv after being chosen for their weekly 'Toon Je Talent' competition.

Till this day, ADEL is on a non-stop work-ethic of crafting his own sound and would love to take you to a trip to his musical universe.
