About AGE
Guy Vachaudez and Emmanuel D’haeyere started the band AGE and their music career in the mid 70’s. With any musical background at all they started composing cosmic tunes with some monophonic synths.
In 1977 they were introduced to the Belgian EM scene by their friend Paul Verkimpinck and his famous radio program Muziek uit de Kosmos. From that moment they fell in love with this kind of music and went to lots of happenings in Belgium.
It was in 1977 that AGE officially started to make its own productions. It was from that moment on that AGE went live with concerts. Age experimented with several styles ranging from deep space music, sequencer songs to real classic electro pop ambient.
It was in 1980 that AGE released its first LP ‘Landscapes’. Combining Guy’s and Emmanuel’s musical ideas was a relative huge success and resulted in a set of concerts during several years.
By experimenting with different styles AGE developed its own ‘sound signature’ in EM since 40 years.
Nowadays AGE is focusing on sound design inspired by special location such as the Planetarium Dome in Brussels for instance.
