Informed by his post-industrial hometown, A. Dumont seeks to translate his surroundings — concrete-filled streets, desolate fields, and bleak artificial nature — into sonic passages. Painstakingly (and almost obsessively) curating his sound toward this goal, A. Dumont blends fragments of the past with elements of the present, detached from the constraints of genre, tapping into themes often suppressed in a collective act of escapism, pervasive in both club culture and daily life. By doing so, A. Dumont seeks to confront his audience with a harsh reality, breaking through this futile attempt at willful ignorance.
