Antwerp based Techno dj & producer Yann Van Uffelen a.k.a. Absent, born Sept 27 1985.

Started his musical journey at an early age influenced by his dad's taste for different styles of music ranging from early jazz to classical to everything else. At the age of 15 he attends his first Techno party, and from that day on started to dig deeper into the genre to understand and discover more about Electronic music and Techno. Absent develops his own style that ranges from Driving hard rhythmic Techno to deeper minimalistic abstract music combined with an underground club sound. Rhythm is all. His first tracks got released by Pbr-music a young Technolabel from Toulousse (South France) and are avaiable on various digital music resources like I-tunes Juno Beatport etc... After getting in touch with Diego Hostettler (Former Kanzleramt artist) he tries to take his productions onto new and higher levels of musicality within the world of Technomusic there for he starts to collaborate with such artists. These efforts have resulted into an Ep that has been released on Alexander Kowalski's Damage Label Berlin and have been played by artists like Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and many more.
