Zap Zaltan, the wayward Belgian jazz-rock improv trio, slings around multimedia artist Ewoud VE.

With their first homegrown release the trio blends the vibes of the sunset shore — iridescent sea waves, pink gulls, wind & mussels — all together electrifying these elements into an ambient-rock journey infused with fragments of the African diaspora.

Inspired by Frank Zappa and by the pioneer of electronic music in the Low Countries — Dick Raaijmakers (aka. Kid Baltan) — the ensemble explores new ways of creating an animated and immersive sonic landscape through implementing spatial live-electronics and synthesizers.
