Bio
Hailing from Brussels with Angolan roots, Sosa Rissa blends the driving rhythms of hardgroove techno with the raw energy of ghetto tech, crafting intense, emotional sets that transcend genre boundaries. DJ, radio host, and visual artist, he creates a world where sound and imagery collide. His journey began with a passion for music, exploring drum and bass, then hip-hop, before finding his home in techno. Deeply influenced by artists like Jeff Mills, Carl Cox, Daft Punk, Alix Perez, and Mefjus, as well as the vibrant musical legacies of London and Berlin, Sosa Rissa has developed a rich, eclectic sound rooted in experience and emotion. Since learning to mix in 2011 and becoming active in the scene from 2015 onward, he has performed across renowned Brussels venues such as Kiosk Radio, Beurschouwburg, La Fabriek, Madame Moustache, Barrio, and Brussel Brost. He is a resident DJ at BruzzIce, where he co-hosts the radio show Frequency, featuring interviews and live sets. As a member of the CTRL+ collective, he also curates events that reflect his deep musical ethos: raw, immersive, and boundary-pushing. A visual artist as well as a DJ, his ultimate goal is to merge audio and visuals into a fully immersive experience—one where you don’t just listen, but see and feel the story being told
