VAAG is a (post)punk outfit out of Kortrijk/Ghent, consisting of 4 longtime friends with a long background in hardcore punk and who have been playing in various bands (such as HAEMERS, HITCH, VVOVNDS, HESSIAN, SUPERGENIUS, etc..)

They started the band from a common love for all things postpunk, new/no wave, bleak UK 80ies punk and OI!

We'd like to think we're putting the 'punk' back in postpunk. :)

VAAG is another band that springs from the fertile grounds of the Kortrijk aka “K-Town underground” scene that is based around long time running punk & DIY venue The Pit’s. (Cfr also : Freddie & the Vangrails, Crucified, Haemers, Chiff Chaffs, Onrust, Videotrauma, Röt Stewart, etc)

In september '23 the band recorded a first EP called 'Paniek!' @ Jetson Studios with Michael Neyt.

A first single 'Paniek!' was dropped on the streams on November 24th.

Tape was released on the ICOULVEBEENAKILLER imprint of Kristof Mondy (ex-Amenra, Burning Kross)

12" EP will be releases on Eat Dust Records may 6th 2024 + all platforms including an exclusive 'Bled Dry' remix by Bert Liberty aka B1980 (aka drummer of Goose)
