VI.BE

ENGLISH:

This trio blends elements together from contemporary jazz, free improvisation, folk and rhythmic cycles from all over the world. Each composition is seen as a blank canvas. On this canvas the trio searches for the boundaries of the musical setting, their physical capabilities and their own creativity. All while expressing their feelings through the music and conversing this to each other and the audience through their common musical language.

We believe that the best kinds of music originate in the moment of total surrender. There has to be a tight form of trust and will-power to reach this point. To get there Toon went lookong for musicians who spent countless hours in the practice room, who have the same passion for improvisation and have their very own unique sound or playstyle. He found all of this in Thibaut Deryckere (Keys) and Toon Rumen (Upright-Bass).

You can expect an ever evolving set in which three young musicians, bound by their love for jazz, will communicate, improvise and create with their instruments.

NEDERLANDS:
