Tomas Rivera is a pianist and composer who is very active on the current Brussels jazz scene (Kuna Maze, Hypercontent, Dushime, among others). His Tomas Rivera Band project brings together international musicians and friends: Shoko Igarashi, Matteo Mazzu, and Pierre Hurty. In a universe that blends personal compositions and arrangements, Tomas places particular importance on exploring sound, harmony, and the fragility of music. Influenced by the current jazz scene in Los Angeles jazz scene (Sam Wilkes, Sam Gendel, Lionmilk) and the electronic textures of London jazz (Nala Sinephro), the Tomas Rivera band project invites listeners to enjoy an intimate experience of minimalist, gentle music.
