It all began with an ad on social groups to form a band, to perform covers and in time write some original material. It was pretty good actually, when the 5 members of M'o'M clicked to perfection the one and only gig we delivered in Boite a Zic, it was crowned as the winner of the battle of bands.

Futures dates were booked... And then, Covid happened... All dates were cancelled and prolonged waiting game ensued. We couldn't play for a while even to rehearse. Tough on everyone and ultimately to M'o'M. We unfortunately have a majority of our band members who left to pursue other musical challenges.

With Alexis joining the remaining members, Sebastien and Erbil, we directed our focus to songwriting exclusively. We gave a big push the past 6 months and the current direction of the band compels us to mark that transformation with a new name. So we are pleased to announce you our name change: ThrAnK. Somewhere between Thrash and Punk 😉

Seb will take care of drums, Alexis the bass and Erbil the guitar. We will share the singing duties between ourselves.

We are looking very much forward to play for you all on stage. Our first single is currently being mixed and we will launch it very soon. Stay tuned for a preview.

Tout a commencé par une annonce sur les réseaux sociaux pour former un groupe: faire des reprises et avec le temps écrire du matériel original. C'était plutôt pas mal en fait, quand les 5 membres de M'o'M ont jouer à la perfection sur le seul et unique concert que nous avons fait à la Boite a Zic: il a été sacré vainqueur du battle of the bands.

Les futures dates ont été réservées...Et puis, Covid est arrivé... Toutes les dates ont été annulées et un jeu d'attente prolongé s'en est suivi. Nous n'avons pas pu jouer pendant un moment, même pour répéter. Dur pour tout le monde et finalement pour M'o'M. Nous avons malheureusement perdus plusieurs membres de notre groupe qui sont partis pour poursuivre d'autres défis musicaux.

Avec Alexis rejoignant les membres restants, Seb et Erbil, nous nous sommes concentrés exclusivement sur l'écriture de chansons. Nous nous sommes donnés à fond depuis 6 mois et la direction actuelle du groupe nous donne envie d'incarner cette transformation avec un nouveau nom. Nous avons donc le plaisir de vous annoncer que le groupe s'appelle desormais: ThrAnK.

Seb s'occupe de la batterie, Alexis de la basse et Erbil de la guitare. Nous assurerons à 3 le chant. 🙂

Nous sommes impatients de jouer pour vous sur scène. Notre premier single est actuellement en cours de mixage et nous le sortirons très prochainement. Stay tuned pour un petit avant gout.

Alles is begonnen met een advertentie op sociale media om een groep te vormen. Eerst als coverband om na verloop van tijd eigen liedjes te schrijven. Alles verliep op wieltjes wanneer de 5 leden van M'o'M hun eerste en spijtig genoeg enige concert hebben gespeeld in het Nijvelse Boîte à Zic want ze werden er als winnaar bekroond van de Battle of the Bands.

De volgende concerten werden ingepland en dan kwam Covid langs...alle data werden geannuleerd. We moesten zoals iedereen afwachten dat het zou overwaaien! We hebben zelfs niet kunnen repeteren en het bleek te lang want verschillende leden van de groep zijn vertrokken naar andere muzikale oorden.

Toen kwam Alexis de 2 overblijvende leden, Seb en Erbil, vergezellen en werd er besloten om uitsluitend eigen liedjes te schrijven. Dit heeft 6 dikke maanden geduurd en nu willen we jullie dit nieuwe materiaal voorstellen onder een nieuwe naam. Het is dus met groot genoegen dat we jullie ThrAnK voorstellen...

een gulden middenweg tussen Thrash en Punk met Seb aan de drums, Alexis met de basgitaar en Erbil met elektrische gitaar. Alledrie zorgen voor de zang.

We kijken er al naar uit om dit live te kunnen spelen. De eerste single zal binnenkort uitkomen en jullie zullen snel een voorproefje krijgen.
