Sophia Haze is a singer, sonwgwriter and guitarist. She evolves in a wide range of music genres such as jazz, rock, pop or latin music.

Born and raised in Belgium, she fell in love with music from a young age.

Indeed, she soon started to dig jazz records, music magazines and rock bands. Always thirsty to discover artists and to explore singing.

As a teenager she started to learn the guitar but it’s only at 18 years old that she started to train professionally to be as singer. In fact, she moved to Brussels to study anthropoly where she found herself more often playing in jam sessions than actually being in College.

It seems like music always find its way through.

Sophia Haze explores her thoughts and feelings through writing. Talking about the light and the shadow within us but also the wide palet of emotions of the human being.

She is inspired by artists such as Radiohead, PJ Harvey, Joni Mitchell, Jeff Buckley, Kate Bush or Björk.

This project mixes rock, jazz and electronic music in a perfect blend.

Throughout the years she had the chance to play with various bands. She played with trip hop band Delight in Disorder with which she released the EP Untamed in 2022.

Sophia Haze is also the leader of the jazz project Interplay who explores jazz music in all its forms.

She is also presenting René George’s theater piece The Man On The Picture. This artwork talks about Native Americans, their cosmogony and their pain regarding european colonization.

Sophia Haze also works as a backing vocalist for artists such as Natasha St-Pier. She also works as a studio singer for recording sessions.

So, she is an artist with a lot of facets and who likes to explore art and music in all its forms.
