To SONITA music is more than just a means to entertain, it is her safe space, the only place where she gets comfort and draws a lot of strength. WhileSonita didn’t come from a household with a musicalbackground, she has always loved to sing. As a little girl, she found herself drawn to powerful female pop/soul artists who have been her source of inspiration.

The two times finalist of Belgian TV shows, ‘Belgiums Got Talent Season 5’ and The Voice Belgique Season 9’ started working on her first solo single titled ‘Heartless’ in 2023. "Heartless“ is a dark Pop songdedicated to everyone who has or is going through hard times. We should remember that in our darkest moments, we all have the power within us to overcome even the most difficult challenges. A while later she released another single titled ‘Not Again’.

Since 2024 Sonita branched out further as a featured artist on singles ‘True Love’ (with Fly), ‘Outside’ (coming soon with Infinity Music) and many others, to explore her love for Afro pop music and other genres.

Music is therapy for Sonita and every time she writes new music the feeling is like accomplishing something magical, so much that she needs to do that in moments of difficulties and when she feels overwhelmed in order to always be in alignment with herself.
