Bio
Inés Nieto (Selva Kalú) is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative identity spans songwriting, multi-instrumental performance, acting, and writing, amongst others. Her musical evolution includes several Eps of original compositions, beginning as Inn Zen with many collaborations, and continuing under her artistic current name Selva Kalú; highlighted by recent releases such as Say Something with her jazz quartet and the compilation album LIVE in CASA. Selva is characterized as a World Music/Singer-songwriter/Jazz artist, mixing languages and styles.
Her career as a performer has taken her across Europe, playing with bands such as Leon Stax Equation (IR), Bom Beijo (PT), FUSO (AR), or La Curva (SP); and appearing in cities like London, Paris, Brussels, Madrid, Lisbon, Barcelona or Galway; or venues like Iboga Summer Fest, Shikillo Festival, El Portón del Jazz, Café La Palma Madrid, Pizza Express London, Sala Clamores… This wide-ranging experience has shaped her as an artist of fluid versatility, grounded both in intimate songwriting and collaborative ensemble work.
Her film contributions reflect a parallel artistic strength: she has participated as both actress and composer in film projects such as El Amor Amor (Laura Sáez), Skeletons (Juan Burgaleta), or Psyché (Adonis de la Cruz).
With a growing catalog of recordings, cross-genre collabs and significant film projects, Inés Nieto (Selva Kalú) continues to cultivate a richly textured artistic path defined by emotional fluency, stylistic breadth and an unmistakably personal voice.
