Sekund is an alternative cover band from Lochristi, Belgium, with members hailing from Ghent, Lochristi and Sint-Gillis-Waas. The band reimagines songs from the post-punk and alternative eras, delivering willful, off-kilter interpretations that respect the originals while giving them a sharp new edge.

Fronted by Gina, a charismatic vocalist, also known for her work with Ghent’s wild rock ‘n’ roll band Misterioso No-Stars, Sekund thrives on attitude and presence.

On guitar is Peter, a true six-string wizard and guitarist for the Joy Division tribute band Decades (Lochristi), bringing texture, tension and atmosphere to the sound.

Guy, the band’s fierce and relentless drummer, also plays with Ghent-based ghostabilly band Los Fantasmas, injecting raw energy and drive.

On bass is Denis, whose musical roots lie deep in seventies punk and eighties post-punk, grounding the band with a dark, pulsing backbone.

Together, Sekund crafts a sound that is gritty, dark and unmistakably their own honest covers with character and love for the underground spirit that shaped a generation.
