Pete Byrd is a Belgian musician and producer from Dendermonde. He grew up around music, but it never felt like something to chase or figure out, it was just always there. From folk-inspired songs like “Sally It’s Raining" to Dutch pop, and later into electronic productions. Not because of a plan, but because each phase felt like the most honest way to tell the stories he was carrying at that moment. At the core, that’s still what it is: storytelling. Most songs start with a feeling that lingers a bit too long. Something unresolved, something uncomfortable, something he doesn’t fully understand yet. There’s often a certain heaviness in his music: nostalgia, doubt, questions that don’t really have answers, but it’s never meant to stay there. There’s always a quiet sense of hope underneath, even if it’s fragile.
