PEEPL is a Belgian pop-rock collective blending funky grooves, Latin rhythms and feel-good energy into a vibrant, borderless sound.

The band was founded around Lucía Noceti on vocals, Pieter Derboven on guitar, Ruben De Vleeschhouwer on drums and Joel Alancay on bass guitar, who recorded the first EP with the group before moving to Spain. After his move, PEEPL reinforced its live formation with Belgian bass player Reinout D’haene, whose funky groove and musical instinct bring a new drive to the band’s sound. Together, the current line-up builds music around movement, connection and positive energy, combining organic grooves with modern pop sensibility.

PEEPL’s debut EP, Let’s Change the World Before It Changes Us, introduces the band’s broad musical identity across six songs, which are being released gradually over seven months, the EP reflects the group’s desire to cross borders; musically, culturally and emotionally. Some tracks lean into Latin cumbia and groove-based pop, while others explore funk, rock and blues, always carried by a vibrant band sound and a warm, human feel.

The band’s first single, “La Ciudad”, marked the beginning of this journey. Written by Lucía Noceti, the song was inspired by her need to escape the intensity of life in Buenos Aires and search for freedom, fresh air and herself. Sung in Spanish and driven by an infectious groove, the track transforms urban pressure into movement and celebration, introducing PEEPL’s love for rhythm, storytelling and cross-cultural sound.

The EP was produced by Simon Vander Beken, chosen for his ability to capture a lively and authentic band performance. His approach helped preserve the dynamic live energy that sits at the heart of PEEPL’s music: real instruments, human grooves and songs that invite both listening and dancing.
