Nothing Gold Can Stay is the brainchild of singer, songwriter, and producer Stijn Debontridder.

Formed in 2023, the band delivers a resolute brand of punk rock that bridges the gap between the nostalgic energy of The Ataris and the modern edge of The Story So Far, mixed with a good amount of Make Do And Mend and Brand New. They offer a sound that is old-school enough to feel like home, yet undeniably fresh and relevant for today's scene.

Their debut singles Letting You Go and Painful Not To Pretend quickly turned heads, securing spots on prominent Spotify curated playlists. Building on this momentum, their debut full-length album The Midas Touch dropped in the summer of 2024, launching the band onto stages and festival bills across Belgium, France, and the Netherlands.

Never resting on their laurels, the band is constantly evolving. First single Solid Ground set the stage for their sophomore album, The Weight Of What We Keep, slated for release in December 2026. After that, punk rock anthem When I'm Gone (featuring Hanne Terweduwe of For I Am) and the emotional and mature Bad Faith gave listeners a first insight in what the new album will sound like: heavier, a tad more experimental and above all even more emotional.

The new material highlights a shift toward more sophisticated, confident songwriting, taking careful steps beyond their punk rock roots to explore deeper musical territories.
