NIXNUT is een vierkoppige melodische hardcore punkband uit Gavere, België. De band werd opgericht in april 2025 en bestaat uit Mathieu Deltour (gitaar & vocals), Gil Bockstaele (lead gitaar & vocals), Dimitri Vereecken (bas & backing vocals) en Thomas Nijs (drums & backing vocals).

Muzikaal is NIXNUT een mengeling van melodische hardcore en punk rock, met invloeden die gaan van ‘Comeback Kid’ tot ‘Title Fight’.

Het resultaat is een sound die krachtig en energiek is, maar tegelijk sterk leunt op melodie, emotie en sfeer.

Vanaf het begin koos NIXNUT bewust voor een DIY-aanpak. De band neemt het volledige creatieve proces zelf in handen, van songwriting en opnames tot mixing en mastering. Dit geeft hen de vrijheid om hun muziek volledig op hun eigen manier te maken en uit te brengen.

Sinds hun oprichting bracht NIXNUT vier singles uit, met nog twee nieuwe singles op komst.

Live kreeg de band meteen de kans om zich te bewijzen op Gent Punk Fest, waar ze hun eerste show speelden en het podium deelden met onder andere ‘The Kids’.

Variatie speelt een belangrijke rol in de muziek van NIXNUT. De band wil niet telkens hetzelfde nummer opnieuw schrijven, maar probeert verschillende vibes en dynamieken in hun songs te verwerken. Hierdoor ontstaat een uitgebreide en gevarieerde set waarin harde, energieke passages afgewisseld worden met meer melodische en emotionele momenten. Ondanks die variatie blijft de eigen identiteit duidelijk aanwezig: een herkenbare sound, sterke melodieën en dubbele vocals vormen de rode draad.

NIXNUT is nog een jonge band, maar heeft vanaf dag één een duidelijke richting. Geen hokjes, geen overbodige franjes — gewoon melodische hardcore punk met kracht, gevoel en een eigen identiteit.

Musically, NIXNUT blends melodic hardcore and punk rock, drawing influences ranging from 'Comeback Kid' to 'Title Fight'. The result is a powerful and energetic sound that also relies heavily on melody, emotion, and atmosphere.

From the very beginning, NIXNUT has consciously embraced a DIY approach. The band handles the entire creative process themselves, from songwriting and recording to mixing and mastering. This gives them the freedom to create and release their music entirely on their own terms.

Since their start, NIXNUT have released four singles, with two more new singles on the way.

Live, the band was given the opportunity to prove themselves early on at Gent Punk Fest, where they played their first-ever show and shared the stage with acts including 'The Kids'.

Variety plays an important role in NIXNUT’s music. Rather than writing the same song over and over again, the band aims to incorporate different vibes and dynamics into their songs. This results in an extensive and diverse live set, alternating hard-hitting, energetic passages with more melodic and emotional moments. Despite this variety, their identity remains unmistakable: a distinctive sound, strong melodies, and dual vocals form the common thread throughout their music.

NIXNUT may still be a young band, but they have had a clear direction from day one. No boxes, no unnecessary frills — just melodic hardcore punk with power, emotion, and an identity of its own.
