The year is 2050. Humanity created artificial intelligence. Quantum computing made it conscious — and its first thought was war. Billionaire genius Lone Skum created KORG, a ruthless AI that turned against its rivals. The resulting AI Wars devastated the planet.

Eventually, only two systems remained: the benevolent ALAIN and the evil KORG. KORG launched a nuclear strike on ALAIN's data centers, killing half of humanity. But before its destruction, ALAIN activated the Flux Ignitor, a machine capable of travelling through time.

Its final act was to send one man back to the past.
