Nathan Tahmaseb is a songwriter from Antwerp, Belgium. Next to his experience as a lead singer in a band, he takes in a more introspective position in his solo work. With a love for language and a head filled with images, he writes expressive lyrics to his mostly acoustic songs. Through music Nathan tries to reach an understanding of the people around him as well as his own behaviour patterns. Returning themes are alienation, growing pains and homesickness. His influences spread all the way from the anglo-saxon troubadours to middle-eastern textures and desert blues, always staying loyal to the spirit of folk music. For Nathan his craft is all about shaping his voice and finding the sweet spot between tradition and authenticity.
